Previous guilds and reasons for leaving them:
I am a member of the guild The Sunrise but intend to leave them as soon as I possibly can. This is because the guild is falling apart and the officers and raid leaders themselves do not know correct tactics for boss encounters. Upon joining the guild I was promised 25 man raiding experience, however this is not the case as week in week out I am having to pug 25 man ICC raids and only very rarely join in on guild 10 man runs of ICC. The top officers and raiders have completed ICC and obtained The Kingslayer Achievement but those of us that are not in the social click with the officers have to sit out on progress runs on hard mode ICC. Also on top of this I am now unable to raid mid-day with the guild, which is the main reason I am now looking to move.

Why do you choose Imperium, and what do you expect?
I have been looking to move to a pve server and on my research I came across Nagrand. Imperium is the most progressive raiding guild I have seen up to date. I have been reading through some of the threads on the Nagrand realm forum and Imperium is a very highly thought of guild.

Previous raiding experience (also pre wotlk and pre tbc).
I started playing when wrath of the lich king came out. I do appreciate that this shows that I’m not the most experienced raider in EU but I do know how to play my class and get the most DPS and survivability out of it. This can be seen from the sort number of raids that I have done and to what degree I have done them to:
ICC 10: 11/12 normal mode – I have also done 8 bosses on heroic mode all with random players outside of the guild that I am currently in.
ICC 25: 6/12 – I have only done ship battle on heroic mode.

Do you enjoy your class and will you play it for a long long time?
I truly enjoy playing warlock and I can’t see myself playing another class in the near future. No other class really appeals to me as much as the warlock does. To be honest I do not even have an alt that I am levelling on the side. I feel that I know almost everything there is to the warlock class but of course if any advice is given to me I am always open to change and hungry to learn more.

How often do you play?

I am an active player and play up to 5-6 days a week logging in mostly to attempt to find a not so fail pug. I have been focusing more on pvp at the current time as I am not raiding with my guild regularly.

Will you attend at least 4 raids regularly every week?
Yes I am happy with the raid times and expectations of the guild. I hope to attend all raids that I can and am invited to. However if something does crop up and I am unable to attend a raid then I will notify an officer as soon as I can.

Do you see yourself as a fast learner on new encounters?

Yes I like to think of myself as a fast learner. From doing so many pug raids I have come across many different tactics that people like to use. This has helped me to understand boss mechanics better and get a larger variety of tactics in my inventory.

What are your strong sides in raids, and where do you feel you can improve?
My raiding strengths include being on time to raids and giving it my all. This includes being totally repaired, have enough soul shards for summons, bringing my own flasks and having the correct addons up and running. I also believe a good strength of mine is knowledge of boss fights and doing my research and then putting it into practice. I believe that I can improve on my gear. There are many upgrades that I should get. My cloak should be upgraded to the frost emblems cloak and enchanted with haste instead of engineering SP. I also need a new trinket, I am hoping to replace the POS HC trinket with that of the rotface 25 man trinket for the added haste. I do however believe that I have done the best I can do with the gear that I have earned.

Other information that you want to share.
I would like to use this space to show my knowledge of the warlock class from an affliction perspective. Most of it is most probably already known by all of those who read this, but I want to show you that I know how to play warlock even though my experience does let me down a lot.
My damage as an affliction warlock come primarily from my DOT’s. These are several spells that have very high damage per cast time which can’t be spammed and at best should be allowed to tick for the full duration. I also avoid clipping my DOT’s. This will increase DPS in the long run. I use the formerly normal warlock main nuke spell shadow bolt only as a filler spell in between those spells. Affliction warlocks lack burst, but our damage goes up considerably when the target reaches and falls below 35%. At this point I swap shadow bolt with Drain Soul, but not forgetting to keep my normal DOT’s ticking on the target. My key stats are that of hit rating, spell power, haste, spirit and critical rating. Hit rating should be at 14% an extra 3% coming from the talent suppression. I try to keep this at 17% as much as I possibly can without sacrificing the other stats too much. Spirit is also important for warlocks as it gives more spell power with Glyph of Life Tap and Fel Armour.
My spell rotation starts with shadow bolt to get the debuff onto the target as soon as possible. This can be very dangerous as a crit on shadow bolt will cause high threat and can very easily pull aggro. Therefore I always allow plenty of time for the tanks to gain enough aggro before attacking. I then cast my DOT’s – corruption, unstable affliction , curse of agony ( curse of elements if no other lock in raid) and haunt. The Glyph of Haunt gives extra 3% to haunts affect. At the moment I am not using this glyph. Instead I am experimenting with Glyph of Corruption for a few more instant shadow bolts from nightfall.
As gemming goes I try to stack as much spell power and haste and I can. With the glyph of quick decay, my corruption’s damage is greatly increased as the time between ticks is scaled with haste. In blue sockets I gem Spell power and Spirit. The spirit also gives me additional spell power via fel armour and Glyph of Life tap. With enchants I have had much criticism about my boots, but from my experience the boots have really helped me out in a few sticky situations and I intend to keep them.
Finally I want to apologise for my long application but I felt I really needed to sell myself if I had any chance of getting into this guild.
