Guild History
I am currently a member of Sinisters on Outland. Prior to this I was in Original on Shadowsong, I left them to take some time out to finish a couple of projects and went casual for a while. However , I am now seeking an active focussed guild to complete the 3.3.5 content and move towards Cataclysm.

Theorycraft and Game play

Talent Spec
Usually a standard 14/0/57 build with 5/5 Imp MB and Imp VE. However, I am currently fiddling around with my spec evaluating a purely haste derived platform 2/5 Imp MB so the whole prioritization is dot based, thus allowing for improved mind sear or dispersion glyphs. Whilst this is a slightly “unusual” format I have discussed it at length on theory craft websites and its is a matter for debate once approximately 700 base haste is gained whether the casting of 3MF is an increase in damage over 1MB.

Gems
I gem as per best practice for current values sp>haste>crit>int.
As per 3.3 BIS gems rules I apply are
Single socket
>5sp socket bonus, match socket so yellow socket Reckless Ametrine, for blues Purified Dreadstone and reds - Runed Cardinals to match socket bonus.
<5SP Ignore socket bonus using +23sp gem.
Dual socket
>7sp socket bonus, gems as above
<7SP Ignore socket bonus using +23sp gem.
Triple socket
>9sp socket bonus, gems as above
<9SP Ignore socket bonus using +23sp gem.

Gear & Enhancements
I am currently using 4/5 T10 (1x 277 and 3x264) and the 277 stained pants. This seems to offer the best possible return. Neck 277(hit and haste), Belt 264 spellpower haste and crit, Boots are 264 crafted. Trinkets are as good as I have been able to win - 264 spyglass and 277 from Sindragosa. Rings 2 x 277 (Reputation and Rapid Ascent).

I am currently using the 277 blade from Marrowgar enchanted as below and the 277 Spindle. I also have the 25m LK staff so I can maintain flexibility in my gearing choices.

As a shadow, enchants are all about spell power, with one notable exception.
Due to the reworking of black magic in 3.3, the 250 haste component gives approximately 67SP, thus making it preferred over 63sp on 1H weapons for static fights. Since most of endgame(and Cataclysm) content involves considerable movement I prefer the +63sp. The +81 enchant for staffs is still better though when looking at choices for 2H weapons.

There is a debate regarding best enchant for feet. Tuskaars Vitality still “supposedly” BIS if hit capped, otherwise Icewalker. Currently as I’m currently over the hit cap, I am using Tuskaars Vitality

Head and Shoulders are BIS from reputation factions (Kirin Tor, Sons of Hodir –exalted) and Legs +50sp/20spi thread.

Glyphs
These tend to change but Shadow, Mind Flay and Pain if in standard configuration, however at the moment I am using Flay, Shadow and Sear/Disperse as mana regeneration is not an issue and the additional radius for MS is essential in LK encounter. Normally I will run with Flay/Shadow/Disperse as it allows me to have more flexibility for instancing and raiding.

Spell Prioritisation
BUILD 1 - With 5/5 imp MB : vt-dp-mf-mb-swp-mf-mf as an opener is usual, followed by repeat dots and flays. Multidot as required, SWD on movement and MindSear when safe to do so, (usually 3mobs+ as I can do more with dots otherwise.) VE is up all the time.

BUILD 2 - With 2/5 imp MB : vt-mb-dp-mf-swp-mf-mf-mf with a refresh of dots as required. MB is reduced in the rotation and only used for replenishment and replaced with flays. This only becomes realistic at over 700 base haste. Currently I have 900+ haste so this works very well (see the EJ MB Spreadsheet for more details).
In both rotations Shadow Fiend is used on every CD as a dps increase.

Consumables
I always have relevant items / flasks (spell-power), pots (speed or wild magic), food (spell power or haste), other class buff food (depending on what I've caught that day), fish feasts, as well as enchanting mats and gems for any upgrades I may acquire. Spare shoulder and head enchants, and threads. Spare glyphs of sear disperse and flay as I change glyphs to give best performance. I also have in raid access to a bank, a trader and a repair mammoth with vendors.

Professions
Tailoring 450. The DPS/Heal on cloak is excellent for a priest. Oh and cheap threads as well as BIS craftables, and making a little extra gold.
Enchanting 450. I have always been an enchanter and I have nearly every enchant in the game. The Ring bonus is a great plus, as well as enchanting being a money spinner.

Addons and UI

Current UI : Super Modified UI for reduced memory footprint and “hybrid” capabilities.
DXE for better boss mod handling (preferred over BigWigs or DBM)
Forte Xorcist for all Cooldowns / timers etc
Satrina Buff Frames
Power Auras for specific reminders, trinket pops, debuffs (Unchained magic for example)
SKADA for Threat and Encounter Logs
GRID with Status mods so I can always see debuffs etc for use with clique
ORA2 for simple targeting and Raid Management

Raiding

Raiding History.

Wow Classic: I raided as a Hunter in BWL NAX and in MC, raided 4xper week and had some success with early realm kills, rerolled Priest for TBC and never looked back.

The Burning Crusade: All of it, every last bit of it, from Kara, Grull , Magtheridon, Vashj and KT, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple through to Sunwell (Twins pre-nerf, then to completion pre WoTlk).
Raided these as both Healer and as Shadow. Focused on shadow build for T6 and have been a primarily dedicated face-melter since then.

Why have I applied to you?
I have heard many good things about your guild, its professionalism and focus and dedication to the task in hand. I first heard about your guild a couple of years or so ago, and have now reached a level where I feel I would fit well with your expectations. I too believe in focus and commitment, and I am prepared to put the time in to get things done.

I do not know anyone in your guild who can vouch for me. I would hope that is not detrimental to my application.

Planning to leave my current guild is not an easy decision. If I wish to continue my advancement in Warcraft, it is vital that I join a guild that is as driven as I am towards end game completion for this and the next expansion. I have 7 months of playtime paid for, and I want to use it all.

In Conclusion

I am a dedicated raider, with very high attendance and raid leading experience. I also enjoy a little PVP something I wish to increase (As disc, 1000+resilience and looking for 3v3 team). I feel that I would bring maturity, considerable experience, good organizational skills and a “can do, lets get it done" attitude.

I have a good brain, strong spacial awareness and I am always up to speed with new encounters and whats required of me. I learn quickly and do not duplicate mistakes.

I also have an Alt - a DK 251/264 UH/Frost dps - and a 245/251 offset for DW tanking. All sets are gemmed and enchanted correctly and with JC/mining professions to financially support my raiding priest.
I can also fill in on alt runs / fun runs if required.

I have access to Ventrilo 3.x and to Teamspeak 3.x, I do have a microphone but I tend not to talk unless its social or essential, I don't speak much during raids as Im usually pretty busy.

Hi Jay,

While alot of effort has gone into the app - when someone uses their 'own' application template, it just gives the impression they have pasted it onto many guilds at once. I dunno, maybe thats just me ^^

Anyhow, it was good read, certainly up to the rest of the guilds level in regards to gear and experience. I can't fault the gear/enchants/gems, but I do not know enough about Shadow Priests to comment on your spec and glyph choices.

I tried to get all the salient information into a single document, so I did take a few liberties with your questionnaire.

However, I do hope that you will find all the relevant information is there.

I chose Imperium carefully, speaking to Esmeral and Turanduban regarding current levels of activity and drive for completion, before putting together a lengthy and detailed application.

I would hope that my "failure to use template - 50dkp" could be overlooked in light of my detailed reply.

Following on from what Neko said your Glyph / Spec looks spot on.

Another thing. How much haste would you be aiming for, what would you say is the ideal amount of haste ?

Personally I'd say Tuskarr's Vitality is BiS regardless of your hit rating due to speed boost being extremely valuable on the majority of ICC fights which revolve around movement especially LK.

Id like to aim for about 1270 since this is what all BIS items would give with correct gems, but anything around the 1000 mark will do for now. A 277 DFO to replace the 264 spyglass trinket would do very nicely!

I totally agree that Tuskarrs Vitality is BIS. The additional movement is equivalent to 4% in dps in movement intensive fights, thats why I chose it over Icewalker.
